At Watergenics, we are an innovative company dedicated to the mission of contributing to cleaner water. We achieve this by using state-of-the-art measurement technology to monitor water quality in real time. To support our mission, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/d) who not only shares our vision of technological progress but is also eager to take ownership, drive projects, and grow into a project leader role.

Your Responsibilities

- Lead and manage projects in the fields of mechatronics, plant engineering, and device development

- Develop, design, and optimize complex systems with a focus on optics, laser, and spectroscopy technologies

- Conceptualize, model, and implement mechanical and electrical components

- Design and further develop systems using 3D/2D CAD tools

- Support the integration of switchboards and circuit boards (PCBs)

- Conduct mechanical, electrical, and thermal simulations

- Integrate and program control systems

- Provide support in automation and process optimization

- Coordinate technical activities with internal and external partners

- Take independent responsibility for project timelines, quality, and budget

Your Profile

- Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

- Over 7 years of professional experience as a Project Leader or Senior Engineer

- Strong expertise in CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion360, Catia, NX)

- Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering and mechanical engineering

- Experience in developing control systems and special-purpose machinery

- Proven experience in integration and/or development of switchboards and PCBs

- Knowledge of planning, evaluation, and application of various manufacturing technologies

- Experience in laser technologies and ideally Raman spectroscopy

- Familiarity with control systems (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff) is a plus

- Python skills for automation or data analysis are an advantage

- Experience with 3D printing is a plus

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken

- Strong team player with structured working style and communication skills
