Operations and Finance Manager (m/w/d)

About us
Watergenics is a Berlin startup that builds sensors and data services for water quality monitoring, mainly for the mining industry. Our team works with customers in Latin America and North America, and we have subsidiaries in the USA, Peru, Chile and Romania.
Your role
You keep Watergenics running behind the scenes. You own day-to-day finance, HR and office administration, and work directly with our CEO and external partners.
We need support quickly: we would like you to start as soon as possible, ideally in 1st of November, 2026. If you need more time, please tell us your earliest start date.
Your tasks
• You own accounting operations: invoices, payments and monthly documents for our Steuerberater.
• You manage banking and intercompany transactions across our entities.
• You coordinate with the accountants of our subsidiaries and support the budget and year-end closing.
• You run payroll preparation and HR admin, from onboarding to offboarding.
• You support recruiting, from job ads to interviews.
• You manage our Berlin office, insurance policies and health & safety.
Your profile
• 2+ years in finance, office or HR administration, ideally in a startup
• Good knowledge of German bookkeeping and payroll processes; DATEV is a must
• Very good German and English
• Organised, hands-on and happy to juggle many different tasks
