Role Summary:
Watergenics is seeking a Sales Engineer based in Chile or Peru, with a minimum of 8 years of experience, to drive the company’s growth in the mining sector.

This role combines strategic sales, technical credibility, and field execution. You will engage directly with decision-makers across operations, metallurgy, and environmental functions, positioning Watergenics as a high-value partner in water management.

You will own territory growth, drive complex sales cycles, and convert technical insight into commercial outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
Commercial and Account Execution:
- Develop mining accounts in Chile and Peru, including strategic accounts with multiple operations
- Build pipeline, manage sales cycles, and convert opportunities into contracts
- Commercial discipline in account planning, opportunity management, and client interactions

Technical Positioning:
- Engage credibly with metallurgy, process, and environmental stakeholders
- Translate water-related operational challenges into commercially viable solutions
- Identify high-impact opportunities where water quality monitoring improves performance, cost, or compliance
- Position Watergenics as a trusted technical partner at both site and corporate levels

Field Execution:
- Maintain a strong presence across mine sites, including remote and high-altitude operations
- Build relationships on-site to accelerate opportunity development and deal progression
- Operate effectively within demanding field environments
- Market Access and Stakeholder Management
- Leverage and expand an existing network within the mining sector in Chile and/or Peru
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments across operations, procurement, and corporate leadership

Regulatory and Operating Context:
- Operate confidently within mining site environments, including safety, access, and compliance frameworks


Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- 8+ years in the mining sector, with a strong track record in technical or solution-based sales
- Demonstrated success managing large accounts and closing complex deals

Technical Credibility:
- Strong understanding of mineral processing from a chemical perspective
- Clear understanding of water systems within mining operations
- Ability to link technical insight to measurable business value

Market Presence:
- Experience working across operations, metallurgy, environmental, and procurement functions

Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively to mine sites
- Altitude medical clearance
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Strong communication and executive-level presentation skills

Useful Differentiators:
- Reagent sales experience in mining
- Technical degree, or equivalent mining-sector technical-commercial credibility
- Experience in both Chile and Peru and relationships with major mining companies
